Maryhouse, a day shelter that still remains a beacon of hope, became my sanctuary. Back then, a warm blanket wasn’t just comfort; it was a shield against the biting winter. Years later, my path led me to Women’s Empowerment, a job readiness program that lit the fire of independence within me.
