Where are you located?

We’re excited to announce that our new retail location is coming soon to Citrus Heights, CA! You’ll be able to find us at 7525 Auburn Blvd, Suite 8, Citrus Heights, CA 95610. Stay tuned for our grand opening date!

Our efforts to support women affected by domestic violence and homelessness continue to grow, and this new space will help us make an even greater impact in the community.

We are no longer at Denio’s Roseville Farmers Market, but we remain committed to serving our community with affordable thrift items and supporting those in need.

Do I need to be home for a donation pickup?

Thank you for your willingness to donate! You do not need to be home for the pickup. Just leave your donation items in a pre-arranged spot. If you have any special instructions or questions, please contact us. Your support makes a big difference.

Is there a place to drop off our donations?

Yes, we welcome your donations with gratitude! At this moment, we are accepting drop-off donations by appointment only to ensure a smooth and efficient process for everyone. Please call or text us at 279-901-1519 to arrange a convenient time for you to drop off your items. Your support plays a vital role in our mission to help women impacted by domestic violence, and we appreciate your cooperation in making an appointment. Thank you for your understanding and for your generous support!

What do you do with all the donated items?

Thank you for your interest in what happens to your donated items! Once we receive donations, our dedicated team carefully sorts through each item. Items that can empower women, especially those useful for job placement like professional-looking business attire, shoes, and purses, are directed towards women’s empowerment initiatives. These contributions are invaluable in supporting women to feel confident and prepared for job interviews and professional settings.

A majority of the warm and everyday wear clothes are donated to Maryhouse, providing essential clothing to those in need and ensuring comfort and dignity. For men’s clothing, along with tents, sleeping bags, and blankets, these items find a new home at Francis House, supporting men in need and those experiencing homelessness by offering vital resources for warmth and shelter.

Additionally, we select some items to sell online and at our thrift shop. The proceeds from these sales cover operating costs and contribute to our growth. As we grow and receive more donations, we’re able to allocate more resources and give back even more to the community. This sustainable model ensures that every donation not only directly supports individuals in need but also helps to maintain and expand our operations, allowing for a broader impact.

Your donations make a significant impact, directly supporting individuals and families in our community, and contributing to our ability to serve more people. We are deeply grateful for your generosity and the role you play in this chain of support.

Are you a non-profit?

No, Impact Thrift INC is not a non-profit organization. However, we work directly with non-profits to source resources for those in need, and 10% of all sales go directly to Women’s Empowerment, a non-profit dedicated to helping women gain stability through job training and support programs.

We chose to be a for-profit business with a social mission because it allows us to grow sustainably, create more jobs, and make a greater long-term impact in the community. Here’s why this model works:

Economic Empowerment – By operating as a business, we can hire women from these programs, provide stable employment, and offer real-world job experience, helping them build a path to financial independence.
Scalability & Growth – A for-profit model gives us the ability to expand, open more locations, and generate more revenue, which in turn increases the resources we can give back to the community.
Entrepreneurial Opportunities – Our long-term mission is to help women from these programs open their own Impact Thrift franchises, creating a cycle of empowerment where they can transition from employees to business owners.
Sustainable Giving – Unlike traditional non-profits that rely solely on donations and grants, our model ensures that giving back is built into our business—the more we grow, the more we can give.

If you would like to receive a donation receipt, we can direct your donations to Mary’s House, Women’s Empowerment, or Francis House on your behalf and mail the receipt to you.
